Its not the readership that is the main source of revenue, its the advertiser.

The advertiser is deserting the sinking ship because they have found that N:M of the internet is better that the 1:N of the old media.

Learn to live without advertising or go own in flames.

I think more magazines are going under more due to lack of free time; vs. Internet or ad revenue. I’ve gotten rid of 6 magazine subscriptions mostly because I just don’t have the time any more for that much reading. if their content was free on line, I still wouldn’t get to it.

There is good news out there for bridal magazines. I just got my copy of the premier issue of Get Married magazine. This magazine is tagged as the shopping and trend guide for the savvy bride (which I totally am by the way) and the magazine is awesome. I LOVE it. Even better with all this news I got worry but I did my research and the Get Married magazine is going to be a quarterly publication with another issue coming out in January (I will eagerly await my next issue)…Kudos to Get Married.
